Tickle Pink Inn

Located high atop the cliffs in a somewhat hidden location, the Tickle Pink Inn is a beautiful couples retreat in the Carmel Highlands area. The most impressive thing we can say about the Tickle Pink is this: couples who get engaged or honeymoon there end up coming back year after year to celebrate their anniversary. It has the intimate appeal of a small boutique inn with the feeling of a luxury hotel. 

 

Many of the rooms at this 4-diamond rated hotel feature a full ocean view. No buildings or hillsides in the way - just panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and peace and quiet. Some rooms feature a wood burning fireplace and they also offer oversized rooms with a fireplace and in-room jetted tub - along with a window that goes the length of the entire room (with that tremendous ocean view). Guest rooms feature wonderful amenities including plush terrycloth robes, in-room coffee, flat screen LCD TV with DVD library and daily newspaper.  plush terrycloth robes, slippers, freshly ground in-room coffee service, a flat-screen LCD TV with DVD library, daily newspaper delivery. The beds are, well "wow". Through Romantic Room Designs we have decorated a lot of beds and these are some of the most beautiful by far in the area with hemstitched linens and quilted shams, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and a fluffy goose down comforter you just sink right in to.

 

Guest room rate includes a continental breakfast from their own kitchen (breads, muffins, pastries, Eggs Florentine, ham, fresh squeezed juices, fresh ground coffe, tea, fresh fruit) served in their cozy living room area (or take it back to your room) and an evening reception (Monterey County Wines, fruit, cheese, crackers). Although they do not have their own dining facilities, the Pacific's Edge restaurant and California Marketplace are located next door at the Park Hyatt. Although you can drive in to downtown Carmel in about 15 minutes (North), this is one of the hotels where you may just decide to stay in for the day and night, cuddle by your fireplace*, relax on your balcony* and enjoy the ocean vista. You can also relax in their outdoor hot tub - which by the way if cliffside and overlooks the ocean as well. 

 

As a quick side note, the hotel offers one stand alone cottage - well actually more like a house - called the Senators Cottage. If you are really looking to impress (think proposal or renewal of vows), this is the place with lots of space, privacy, in-room Jacuzzi tub and tremendous ocean views.
