Hotel Vitale

Opened in 2005 and located in the financial district and across from the Embarcadero, the Hotel Vitale is a cool, modern and romantic place to stay near the San Francisco Bay. From the time you walk in to the lobby of the hotel and throughout the property, there is a feeling of serenity and calm that will wash over you. The color scheme of light blues mixed in with beige and tan creates just the right atmosphere and mixes in well with some of the tremendous bay views available from many of the guest rooms.

 

When you first get to the hotel, the front facade might remind you of an old fashioned San Francisco fire station. But upon further inspection, you can tell that this is an elegant, luxurious hotel that pays homage to the history of San Francisco while maintaining it own unique architecture. There are a total of 200 spacious guestrooms and suites many have spectacular views of the water and bay bridge. Their circular suites have huge windows with such a great view you may never want to leave your room! These suites also feature oversized clawfoot style tubs, 2 rainfall shower heads and are just under 700 square feet in size.

 

Guest rooms offer a peaceful nights sleep with European bedding with down duvets and pillows (a "pillow library" is available) and luxurious sheets. Other extras include comfy bathrobes, slippers, 24-hour room service, and a state of the art entertainment system with 28 - 32 inch LCD flat panel tvs with movies, music and games on-demand, ipod docking station and CD players. All rooms are of a good size starting out at least 350 square feet. 

 

On site, the hotel features a spa with outdoor rooftop soaking tub, a large tiered outdoor patio, a fitness center, and a very popular restaurant with outdoor seating that makes it one of the hot spots in the city. Since they are located right by the Ferry Building Marketplace, their chef takes advantage of the fresh produce in making a delightful cuisine.
